KC Destination Management is owned and operated by Kathryn and Chris Porter. We are a family run business and we pride ourselves in treating your home with the same care that we show our own.

Our combined expertise in project management, communications, marketing, and construction make us an unstoppable team. We aren't a big national company nor do we strive to be. Our focus is local and our commitment to the area is apparent through the recommendations we provide to guests, availability to your guests, and commitment to helping local homeowners succeed in the vacation rental business.  

Kathryn Porter | Owner | Operations & Guest Relations Manager

Kathryn has 10+ years' experience in the communications industry. Having worked at agencies in Washington, DC and overseas, Kathryn understands how to differentiate your property in the market and effectively communicate with guests. Kathryn has worked with international retail and hotel clients to ensure that guests' had unique experiences that kept them coming back for more. Kathryn understands how important reviews and online positioning can be and can offer recommendations and services that will help boost online presence and positive reviews.

Chris Porter | Partner | Client & Trade Manager

Chris has 15 years of experience in the construction industry. An accomplished Construction Manager with an outstanding customer service history. An avid outdoorsman who knows why people come to Lake Anna. Chris is known for his impeccable execution of projects, positive customer experiences, and relationships with local trades.

Creating a seamless rental management.

KC Destination Management is a vacation rental co-hosting and management company. We use the term co-host because we take care of your property with the same attention we would our own home. We do more than simply manage turnovers, we make sure your home maintains its condition and is personalized for guests.

Our mission is to ensure that rental guests have a stress-free stay at your property and that owners increase rentals and positive reviews. We do this by managing everything from cleaning services and repairs to being on-call to answer questions or troubleshoot issues that guests may experience. We manage Air BnB listing via Host Sharing capabilities.

In addition, we take care of all the "little things" that make a stay at your property extra special. This includes making sure there is coffee or water available to guests, local destination information, and a welcome basket to make your guests feel like they are the first people ever staying at the property. We also help guests with directions, check-in/out, and check in with them during their stay.

Our pricing model allows us to be as "hands-on" or "hands-off" as you would like. We can manage your listing, booking communication, guest personalization, and home turnover. Alternatively, you can take care of the things you want and we will take care of the rest!

Based on our market research, guests review their stay based on cleanliness, host responsiveness, amenities, and personalization.
